Elizabeth Rzengota, MA, NCC, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor
Thank you for your interest in my practice. I understand that finding the right counselor can be a daunting task and I hope to help you in that process. As a therapist, my goal is to create a safe place for you to express what you are experiencing. I look forward to hearing about the changes you would like to see in your life and working with you to make these changes a reality.
My approach is to understand your story and help you piece together what has contributed to the symptoms you are facing. Whether it is relationship problems, depression, anxiety, loss, transitions, or something else, I believe there is hope for change and I’m excited to join you in this journey. I believe in a collaborative relationship in therapy and building a unique treatment plan to meet your specific needs. I have training in a variety of counseling theories and techniques including Psychodynamic, Attachment, Interpersonal, Cognitive Behavioral, and Family Systems theories. Together, we will work towards discovering what will be most helpful for you.
I have a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Nyack College: Alliance Graduate School of Counseling. I also have a Bachelor of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Toccoa Falls College. My clinical experience has included working in a private practice setting with adults and couples as well as working with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health needs. I have had the privilege of working with clients from a variety of ages and cultural backgrounds.
Whatever your situation may be, I believe your life can be restored to a place of purpose and fulfillment. My passion is to help you understand yourself and empower you to move past your challenges. I look forward to working with you!
